Grant Wright


Grant Wright has been on the Diaconate several times, including two terms as Moderator. He has also served terms as an Elder. In addition to these duties, Grant is a tenor in the Chancel Choir. Outside of church, Grant is the Chief of Member Services for the Public Employees Retirement Association of New Mexico (PERA), comprised of almost 100,000 active and retired public employees. He is heavily involved in Boy Scouts of America as an Adult Scouter, and currently serves as Advancement Chair of the Sangre de Cristo District, Great Southwest Council, BSA. In this position, Grant supervises all Tiger, Cub Scout, and Boy Scout advancement programs, and he chairs all Eagle Scout Boards of Review, which an Eagle Scout candidate must pass before he can be selected as an Eagle Scout. Grant is also very involved in the community as a Board Member of Keep Santa Fe Beautiful, the local group that sponsors all community clean-up drives, electronic waste recycling, general recycling, and environmental education programs. He also volunteers as a construction crew member for Habitat for Humanity. Personal interests include camping, backpacking, and river rafting.
