Rebecca HeindelOffice Hospitality & Human Resources
Rebecca Heindel grew up in southeastern New Mexico before moving to Santa Fe in 1981. Her undergraduate degrees are in music and French. Retired from a career as a classroom teacher of foreign language, music appreciation and humanities, she is now the hospitality and human resource branch of the church office.
Rebecca is married to George Heindel and has two adult children who grew up in First Presbyterian Church Santa Fe, attending Sunday School, and singing in the Chorister’s Children’s Choir, which mom led.
For seventeen years Rebecca was the flutist and business manager for Opus Four, a classical quartet of flute and strings, which played professionally in the Santa Fe and Albuquerque areas. She also played with the Orchestra of Santa Fe, and later played for years with the Santa Fe Community Orchestra, also writing their grants and serving on the Board. Rebecca now serves on the Board for the Santa Fe Women’s Ensemble. Rebecca still enjoys playing flute and piano, as well as teaching both at Studio One-to-One, her home business since 2005.
Rebecca welcomes all to visit First Presbyterian Church Santa Fe where her own faith and action have grown over the years. “We serve, support and sustain one another, not only in the church, but in the greater community and beyond.”
