Sharon and Keith Kirby moved to Santa Fe from Houston, Texas, in May of 2016. During Sharon’s 29-year membership at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Houston she served on the Deaconate, taught high school Sunday School, led youth mission trips, served as membership chair of Presbyterian Women, facilitated women’s small group Bible studies and chaired the Community Ministry Committee. Sharon began and led an HIV/AIDS Ministry at the height of the AIDS crisis, started an Alzheimer’s Care Team Ministry, and created a care team ministry to serve seniors in the congregation faced with the issues of aging and isolation. She worked on a church mobile unit that reached out to the underserved of Houston and was a part of the jail ministry.
