In a time when millions of people have left the church and Christianity, they haven’t left Jesus.  He is still revered, and still baffles, surprises, and inspires. Who, then, is this Jesus, and who have we tried to make him to be?

Friend, teacher, Savior, Lord, way, presence.  These are six ways that Diana Butler Bass describes Jesus in her book Freeing Jesus, and the list goes on back through the centuries and up to this very day. Who is Jesus to you, and how might our Beloved Community grow from his life and teachings?  Pastor Harry makes his presentations and allows time for discussion and also some time to imagine a world that Jesus envisioned.

Adult education classes are held at 9:45 am in person in the McFarland Chapel and on Zoom. Videos are usually available within a week after the class.
