Veronica Mascaro (flute) and Kristin Ditlow (piano) perform a lively collection of Folk, Country, African American Spiritual, Broadway, Christopher Caliendo, and David Mairs songs. Sanctuary doors open at 5:15 pm and the concert begins at 5:30. The concert is free with donations accepted.

Veronica E. Mascaro is a former Teaching Fellow at the University of North Texas, where she was a doctoral student under the tutelage of Dr. James Scott and Professor Terri Sundberg. Ms. Mascaro is a past member of the North Texas Wind Symphony and current member with the Lone Star Wind Orchestra.
Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Ms. Mascaro continues her east coast relationship with memberships in the Kennett Symphony Orchestra, the Cantatica Chamber Orchestra, and the Bel Canto Orchestra. Internationally, she has served as faculty member for the Ameropa International Chamber Music and Solo Master Class Festival in Prague and the ChamberArt Chamber Festival in Madrid. Locally, Veronica is a flute teacher at Flower Mound High School, Shadow Ridge Middle School, McKamy Middle School, Lewisville High School, and Maus Middle School. Ms. Mascaro is the conductor of the McKinney Community Concert Band Flute Choir and the Flutissimo Flute Choir.
Kristin Ditlow, American pianist, harpsichordist, vocal coach and conductor, is enjoying a career in opera and recital in the United States and abroad. She is an alumna of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Westminster Choir College, Tanglewood Music Center, and Merola Opera Program. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Accompanying and Chamber Music from the Eastman School of Music, where she was a student of Dr. Jean Barr.
Dr. Ditlow is an Assistant Professor of Voice and Vocal Coaching at the University of New Mexico. Notable highlights from the past few seasons include conducting world premiere operas written by Steve Block, Joseph Illick, Nell Shaw Cohen, and Ron Strauss. She has appeared as a pianist with Ellen Rose (principal violist, Dallas Symphony Orchestra), Tara Venditti, the Metropolitan Opera National Council, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, OperaWorks, and New Mexico organizations Chatter, Santa Fe Opera, Movable Sol, Opera Southwest, and New Mexico Winds. She recently conducted Bellini’s Norma to critical acclaim. Performances of hers as a conductor and chorus master have been broadcast nationally on the Toll Brothers Metropolitan Opera Broadcast.
