Alternative Service, Jan 13, 6pm. ABQ
VIDEO. On Tuesday evening, January 13, at 6pm, individuals from across the Presbytery of Santa Fe are again invited to an alternative worship service focusing on the political realities in our country. This one will be hosted at St. Andrew Presbyterian church in Albuquerque and is also available via St. Andrew’s livestream.
Because the Bible does indeed speak to the issues of politics, economics, and community relationships, we as the body of Christ will gather around Scripture and listen for the voice of God speaking to us and encouraging us for faithful discipleship “at such a time as this.” Through worship, we can engage in the ministry of connecting faith and politics for the common good as well as addressing the issues present in the public square.
Therefore, at this time in our country’s history when our government is advancing policies of violence and oppression, we as a community of faith can participate with the larger church in changing the world through the life, love, and teachings of Jesus Christ by joining us on Tuesday, January 13, at 6:00 p.m., in the sanctuary of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. Together we can serve to highlight God’s vision for a new future.
Unable to join in person? See more information on the St. Andrew Presbyterian website and go to the St. Andrew YouTube livestream.
