Faith Coalition, St. John’s United Methodist Church, March 2, 5:30-7:30pm
The Santa Fe Faith Coalition will host a presentation on Immigration in Santa Fe: The Current Climate on Monday, March 2, 2026, 5:30–7:30 pm, at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 1200 Old Pecos Trail, Santa Fe. Speakers will be Jessica Aguirre, from Contigo Immigrant Justice, and Ivan Cornejo, from Adelante. Refreshments will be served. The presentation will be free.
Jessica Aguirre, Supervising Attorney for Contigo Immigrant Justice, and Ivan Cornejo, Coordinator for the Adelante Program, and Chairperson of the Santa Fe Immigration Committee, will give an overview of current Santa Fe immigrant issues, such as their processes of settling in, the emotional climate, and recent legislation about new rates for immigrants (work permits, fines etc.), They will also address immediate needs of immigrant families, especially concerning teens and children.
