Children’s Program, Dec 10, 8:30

As we light the candle of Peace, we read the story (Isaiah 11:1-9). Sometimes the realities of life seem overwhelming, with natural disasters, wars, violence, and suffering in so many ways. Isaiah promises God will send one on whom “the Spirit of the Lord shall rest.”

Isaiah’s promised one ill wear a belt of righteousness and will bring a blessed kingdom where all nature and all humanity will be at peace with one another.

When  our life difficulties can be hard to bear, we need our faith strengthened by listening to the ancient prophecy of Isaiah.

This Sunday the children’s program is during our 8:30 service. After receiving a blessing, the children leave the service to do their activities.
