Border Encounter 2023

Youth Mission Trip

VIDEO. In October 2023, Pastor Andrew and a group of youth and young adults from our church traveled to the U.S./ Mexico border in El Paso to work with families and children along the border and bring essential supplies.

Thanks to generous community donations and the support of our Mission and Social Justice team, we took thousands of pounds of medical supplies, food, and clothing to those in need. We quickly found ourselves on the frontlines of one the biggest human rights crises facing our world today. U.S. Border Patrol migrant encounters along the southwestern border during this past fiscal year eclipsed two million and El Paso’s migration is up 50.4% compared to last year (2022). Millions of God’s children find themselves in dire need of food, shelter, clothing, health care and safety. Most immigrants are coming from countries of great instability including Venezuela, El Salvador and Guatemala.

Thanks to all our partners at Abara, the Opportunity Welcome Center, UTEP, St. Francis Xavier Church, Sagrado Corazon Church and Kelly Center for Hinger Relief who are making a major difference in our world.
