VIDEO. August 20, our adult education program features National Wildlife Federation‘s Early Childhood Healthy Outdoors Program (ECHO) and its Sacred Grounds Program. View the video and learn about these truly transforming programs for organizations and churches.
ECHO facilitates the creation of outdoor nature-based play settings that improve the physical health and social-emotional development of young children and help them develop better cognitive skills and an increased affinity for the outdoors. ECHO intentionally focuses on reaching young children who may not otherwise have access to high-quality outdoor settings, families living with low-incomes, and marginalized communities who face multiple barriers to health and equity. Read more about this program on NWF’s website page: What is ECHO?
The presenter will also share information about NWF’s Sacred Grounds program, which supports houses of worship in achieving their visions around a wide range of interests and needs such as community building, increasing access to safe outdoor spaces for all, improving water quality, and creating new wildlife habitat.
The August 20 program is a continuation of our Earth Summer Series.
