On Nov 4, members of our church will be traveling to visit our sister church, Sagua La Grande, in Cuba. In addition to taking the money you graciously donated, we would like to bring donations of much needed, scarce goods.
Please consider donating the following items:
- Over-the-counter meds, first-aid supplies, and vitamins. (In the past year recurrent power outages have made refrigeration of food difficult for many, so severely that the disease of scurvy has arisen. Virtually unknown in the US, it has arisen in Cuba even though it is easily prevented with Vitamin C.)
- Arts and crafts items, especially for the fabric arts—knitting supplies, hooks, foam and felt sheets, yarn, thread, needles, scissors, buttons, lace, ribbon, etc. FPC will be sending a newsewing machine.
- Christian ed materials for adults and/or children.
- Clothing for a tropical climate, in good condition, especially sneakers for kids and teens.
Look for collection bins in the church lobby next to our Cuba poster.
Thank you for your continuing generosity!
