David Solem, Piano

This Friday indulge yourself in a concert by our own David Solem on the piano playing music by Beethoven and Bach/Busoni. Doors to the sanctuary open at 5:15pm and the concert begins at 5:30pm. The concert is free with donations accepted.

David Solem – Piano, organ, harpsichord

David holds a M. Music and B. Music from Peabody Conservatory of Music, where he studied organ with Peggy Haas Howell and Donald Sutherland, piano with Lillian Freundlich, and harpsichord with Shirley Matthews. David has over 45 years of experience as a liturgical musician and has taught on the faculties of Loyola University Chicago and Towson State University. Here in northern New Mexico, he is active as a liturgical musician, pianist, organist, and harpsichordist.

David holds the positions of principal keyboard with Santa Fe Pro Musica and of assistant organist with First Presbyterian Church of Santa Fe.  He has appeared as soloist with Santa Fe Pro Musica, Santa Fe Womens Ensemble, Santa Fe Symphony, The Santa Fe Desert Chorale, Canticum Novum, the New Mexico Philharmonic, Market Music sponsored by Severall Friends, the chamber music series at San Miguel Chapel, and with the Chatter series both in Albuquerque and here in Santa Fe.  David is a frequent contributor to the TGIF series here at Frist Presbyterian Church.
