Looking Forward to Future Trips
Last week, EarthKeepers 360 hosted a three-day veterans’ fly fishing retreat on the world-renowned San Juan River Quality Waters near Navajo Dam, New Mexico. Five veterans and three faith leaders gathered for time on the river and an opportunity to step away from the pressures of daily life, build community, and experience the quiet healing that comes from being outdoors.
Over the course of the trip, we caught many fish, shared stories, and laughed together, while also enjoying long stretches of silence and reflection alongside the steady flow of the San Juan. Whether casting a line, learning new skills, or simply taking in the beauty of the canyon and the water, the retreat created space for rest, renewal, and meaningful connection with one another and with creation.
We’re grateful for the friendships formed and the moments of peace found on the river, and we’re already looking forward to future trips, new adventures, and welcoming more veterans into this space of restorative healing.
