Children’s Program, Sep 22, 8:30 & 11am

This Sunday, we will learn about the grace of God, and God’s promise to us. Everything God created was good, but then the people became unhappy, angry, or hungry. So God made a fresh start with them and keeps his promise.

The children’s program begins in the worship service at 8:30 on the Rooftop Garden and at 11am in the sanctuary. After the children receive a blessing, they leave for their activities.

The Lesson

So far we have covered Genesis 3—11 with the children. This week we look at Genesis 12:1-9 and 15:2-6. There had come a time when there was little grace in the world. Brothers and sisters were fighting; people were behaving badly. What does God do in response? God initiates a fresh start with humanity.

God promises to be present to his creation forever. We often struggle to live gratefully as recipients of God’s grace; however, we are assured that even through those times of struggle, God keeps the promise.
