Synod Youth Workshop, Jul 14-19
In the Gospel of John, we hear this good news: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness does not overcome it.” But what does that mean for us in the here and now? This summer, at Synod Youth Workshop in Tulsa OK, we tackle the question: How, in a world where darkness continues to creep in, can we remember to trust in God and ‘Let Light Lead’ even when we are afraid?
We will spend the week exploring how God’s light is present within each of us, how that same light is found in others, how we find God’s light in the darkest times, what it means to come together as a community of light, and how can we live as God’s light in the world. Join us, for a time of fellowship, community, Biblical reflection, and most importantly, time to share the light of God with each other.
About the Conference
For over 60 years, Synod Youth Worship has provided a place, a space, and time for God’s work of creating new life-time relationships. Participants in Synod Youth Workshop will experience God’s presence through opportunities for worship, prayer, scripture exploration, and community service in small and large group gatherings. Small groups provide a ‘safe place’ to explore faith questions, while sharing fun and laughter beyond measure. Many participants throughout the years have described the conference as a life-changing event. We hope you will consider attending Synod Youth Workshop in 2025.
This conference is for rising 9th graders through graduating seniors. Read more: Synod Youth Workshop.
