Healed? Tell Everybody!

In Luke 8:26-39, Jesus heals the man possessed with demons and tells him to go tell others everything that God has done for him. This Sunday the Rev. Bill Humphreys challenges us to go do the same… tell Everybody everything that God has done for us. Join us at 8:30 on the Rooftop Garden and 11:00 in the sanctuary and via livestream.

View the video and enter into a discussion in adult ed, McFarland Chapel or on Zoom. Dennis Sanderson facilitates the discussion.

Living the Lord’s Prayer

Retreat, Ghost Ranch, Aug 15-17

The Lord’s Prayer “includes the whole of Jesus’ teaching and is a summary of the whole gospel” (Tertullian, ca-160-240). Not only is this prayer a window into the religion of Jesus, it also offers us a compelling spirituality for today’s chaotic times. San Williams invites you to join him for a weekend retreat on the Lord’s Prayer August 15-17 at Ghost Ranch.

Community Volunteer Opportunities

MSJ Compilation Now Available

In answer to the turmoil in our society, many of you are asking “What can I do to help?” Our Mission and Social Justice (MSJ) Committee has compiled a list of volunteer opportunities to help immigrants, domestic violence victims, children, “Dreamers,” Afghan students, and others in our community. Check out what you can do.

Let Light Lead

Synod Youth Workshop, Jul 14-19

In the Gospel of John, we hear this good news: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness does not overcome it.” But what does that mean for us in the here and now? This summer, at Synod Youth Workshop in Tulsa OK, we tackle the question: How, in a world where darkness continues to creep in, can we remember to trust in God and ‘Let Light Lead’ even when we are afraid?

Bottle Caps to Benches

Recycling Collection Project

Tierra Nueva Couseling Center is asking you to recycle your plastic bottle caps and lids to make beautiful park benches. Drop them off in our church lobby; keep them out of Santa Fe landfills by upcycling them into benches to serve the Center’s therapists, clients, and the entire community.

Recognizing Jesus

Worship, May 4, 10am

VIDEO. In the second part of the Road to Emmaus story the two disciples recognize Jesus in the breaking of the bread and then he vanishes (Luke 24:28-35). How do we recognize Jesus today? Pastor Harry invites us to share ideas at worship this Sunday at 10:00 am followed by a potluck lunch and conversation.
