Liz Maines is conducting another safety training for volunteers willing to mobilize when ICE presence is known again in Santa Fe. This basic training covers how to interact with ICE, your legal rights, private vs. public space, and the different types of warrants. Attend via Zoom.

With the increase in funding recently approved by Congress, the plan is to deploy ICE agents throughout American cities, concentrating on “sanctuary cities.” Santa Fe has passed immigrant friendly resolutions and may well be a future target for ICE.

Liz has trained a number of volunteers to support attendees of Spanish speaking services at St Bede’s and can help us be ready to assist in the safety of our immigrant community. Hope you’ll participate!
