Mary Kuhns was born and raised in Michigan, but in living out her call as a Presbyterian minister and pastoral counselor/couples and family therapist, she has lived in the Philippines, Atlanta, Louisville, Tucson, Claremont, California, and Santa Fe. She has enjoyed pastoring, teaching, counseling, working at the Presbyterian Center in Louisville, and holding a variety of other jobs along the way. Mary received her B.A. from Muskingum College in Ohio, her M.Div. from Louisville Presbyterian Seminary, and her Doctor of Ministry from Columbia in Atlanta.
Mary points out that she has lived in an RV and traveled some but now lives in a mobile home in Trailer Ranch with her Standard Schnauzer Boots, a therapy dog. She notes that she plays guitar and ukelele, whistles, and intends to spend the rest of her life learning how to watercolor!
