Children’s Program, Sep 29, 8:30 & 11am

This Sunday, we will talk with the children about prayer, the topic Pastor Harry covered in his Sunday message last week. We talk about why we pray and how God answers. In the next few weeks, we will learn a few new prayers.

The children’s program begins in the worship services at 8:30 in Pope Hall and 11:00 in the sanctuary. After receiving a blessing, the children leave the service for their activities.

The Lesson

Why pray? It’s simple, to talk with God and to get his direction for our lives. We can pray to God to be with us when we are happy, sad, sick or even when we’re in trouble. God will give us wisdom, strength and understanding if we only ask him. God answers our prayers with signs, the Holy Spirit and His Word, the Bible. When we pray our relationship with God grows. During the next few week, we will learn a few new prayers, blessings and songs.
