Santa Fe Flutes
Santa Fe Flutes, founded in 2019 by Melissa Colgin Abeln, is an adult-amateur group of 14 flutists plus a bassoonist. The group gives seasonal concerts of eclectic programming to local hospitals, churches, and assisted-living communities in Santa Fe and has established an ongoing bi-annual collaboration at the historical Cathedral Basilica de St. Francis. The ensemble is fortunate to have flutist/arranger, Bill Jackson, whose transcriptions have given the group a variety of enjoyable and challenging repertoire.
