The Santa Fe Flutes, a community ensemble of high-performing musicians, was founded in 2019 by Melissa Colgin Abeln. The group of roughly 16-18 flutists perform on piccolo, C-Flute, Alto and bass flutes. Recently added bass clarinetist, Bob Miller, provides us with a heftier bass sound. The Santa Fe Flutes performs regularly for churches, hospitals, Santa Fe Public Library, festive occasions, and assisted-living residences.
