Hymn Sing, Worship, Apr 17
On Maundy Thursday, we gather in the sanctuary for a hymn sing at 5pm with Linda Raney and stay for a Tenebrae worship service with Pastor Harry at 5:30. The worship service choir anthem will be “Were You There?” (Arr. by Bob Chilcott). Join us for this time of deep reflection in a service of gradually diminishing light.
Tenebrae comes from the Latin meaning darkness. Tenebrae is an ancient Christian service where light gradually diminishes symbolizing the darkness of Jesus’ death and the hopelessness in the world without God.
