Parable of the Dishonest Manager

Children & Youth, Sep 21, 8:30 & 11am

This week the children and youth look at honesty in many variations, as they study Luke 16: 1-13. “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much” (Luke 16:10). The children and youth begin in our worship service, and after receiving a blessing, they leave for their activities.

Children’s Sunday School

This Sunday we will be learning a lesson in honesty as depicted in the Parable of the Dishonest Manager (Luke 16: 1-13). In this Parable, Jesus teaches us the importance of being trustworthy, using resources wisely, and choosing to serve God over money and other false idols.

Youth Bible Study

Rendon Room

Youth, don’t forget to bring your bible as we will read Luke 16:1-13 and tackle some challenging questions:

  • Do you think it’s possible to do something wrong and still be praised for being clever or smart? Why or why not?
  • Have you ever made a decision to protect yourself that wasn’t completely honest? What happened?
  • Why do you think being trustworthy in small things matters so much to God?
