“Music Above and Beyond for Winter”

SFWE Concert Dec 13 & 14

We are proud to host the Santa Fe Women’s Ensemble’s concert and a repertory that promises to offer music that both stirs and calms, moving us forward with courage and joy. Concerts are in our sanctuary on Saturday December 13th at 3pm and on Sunday December 14th at 3pm.

The exciting repertory calls us to look skyward for inspiration from the stars, the moon and the sun, and to look inside ourselves to see new possibilities and dreams about how our world can change. We will sing music that both stirs and calms, moving us forward with courage and joy.

The selections for the winter concerts range from Kim Baryluk’s“Solstice Carole,” an invitation to experience the spirit of the winter solstice; to an exuberant horseback jaunt in “A Winter Ride” by Joan Szymko; followed by a sacred tribute to Chanukah in “Eight Days of Light” by Judith Clurman and David Chase; and more, closing with “Hodie Christus Natus Est” by Kelly-Marie Murphy, where angels exclaim “Glory to God in the highest. Alleluia!” This wondrous musical exploration will take you outside yourselves to an optimistic and more peaceful plane.

Read more about the concert and purchase tickets at SFWE’s Holiday Concert web page. General admission is $30 in advance (or $35 when purchased at the door). Students/teachers/military/veterans are $12 (in advance or at the door). Accessible seating is available.
