Busy Summer Schedule Begins

Building Bustling with Activities

June 10th kicked off our summer calendar with 20 students from the Georgia O’Keefe Art & Leadership program meeting in Pope Hall A for the 6 weeks. Mid-July through mid-August the Chamber Music Festival will be rehearsing most days in Pope Hall C. All our activities continue but some in a few different locations.

Monday, June 10th, Judi Haines sent FPC staff and leadership an email (Subject: Summer Schedule) outlining the details below plus specific messages for leadership known to be most affected by the schedule. So watch for emails from your activity leaders if your activity has been temporarily reloacted. If you have questions, contact Judi Haines.

Our building was planned as a place that would be a service to our community, and we extend a warm welcome to these two groups this summer.

Georgia O’Keefe Art & Leadership Program

The Georgia O’Keefe Art & Leadership Program (20 students) will be meeting in Pope A.  They will be with us for 6 weeks, ending July 26th (they are taking the first week of July off). They meet from 9 to 5, 5 days a week (M-F).  They may be hanging out in the lobby to eat their lunch, or breaking into small groups in BackPew Gallery or other open spaces in the building.  They will check with office/front desk before using the spaces.

Parents will be using the Griffin Street Entrance to drop off the students.  They are required to sign them in.  The drop off time is 8:30am.

Chamber Music Festival

Starting July 13th, the Chamber Music Festival will be rehearsing in Pope C.  through Saturday the 17th of August.  Their schedule is varied but consider Pope C busy for most of the summer.  Each week, the schedule will be reviewed and leaders will be advised if a scheduled meeting needs to be moved.
