Remember to Wear Red

Pentecost Sunday, May 24

We wear red on Pentecost Sunday to symbolize the “tongues of fire” associated with the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles, as described in Acts 2:1-4. It represents the fire of the Holy Spirit, the church’s birthday, and the passionate love of God, serving as a visual reminder of the spirit’s presence.

Welcoming Rev. Liz Graham

New Parish Associate

We are pleased to announce that Rev. Elizabeth "Liz" Graham has joined us as our new part-time Parish Associate for pastoral care. Now partially retired, Liz has served as a hospice chaplain and in various capacities at a number of churches in New Mexico and other states. She interned here at our church and is pleased to serve again within this congregation.

Maundy Thursday Service & Supper

On Maundy Thursday, we gather in Pope Hall at 5:30pm for a special worship service commemorating Christ’s Last Supper and the commandment Jesus gave his disciples to love one another just as Christ has loved us. A simple potluck-style meal will be enfolded within the service itself, and we will share communion with one another around our tables.

In honor of our risen Christ and the beauty of Easter, please consider buying a lily which will adorn the sanctuary on Easter. These can be purchased in memory or honor of someone and taken home following worship on Easter Sunday. Your $25 donation will have the additional benefit of helping those in our community facing food insecurity with all proceeds being designated for that purpose.
