Joy is something children understand instinctively. They play, laugh, and sing with pure delight — and they easily spot joy in one another. This Sunday they will learn that joy is more than a feeling, that it is rooted in hope, peace, and love, they will begin to recognize the deeper joy that comes from being a disciple of Christ.

On this third Sunday of Advent, our children will explore Joy through Christmas Carols, joyful noise shakers and the swirling layered joy that Jesus brings into the world. We will also reflect on how we can share Christ’s joy with a world longing for good news!

Children and youth begin their program in the worship services, and after receiving a blessing, they leave for their activities.
