As Pastor Ashley continues preaching on the stories of the prophet Elijah, we’ll hear the story of Elijah’s “Contest on Mount Carmel” as Elijah follows God’s call to confront the idolatrous King Ahab. As we do, we’ll consider where or how we can find the courage to engage in faithful resistance in the face of fear and widespread idolatry.

The scripture reading is 1 Kings 18:1-2, 17-39.
