Jean McCray – Alto Sax

Jean is an alto sax player, organizer and leader of Fool’s Play, formerly based in Albuquerque. Fool’s Play is a fluid jazz group committed to performing accessible jazz in local venues. Prior venues have included a regular gig at a downtown hotel in Albuquerque, performances at Sunport Serenades, Blue Dragon, Irysh Mac’s Coffeehouse, to name a few. The group took a break but is now back in gear looking to play in Santa Fe and surrounding areas. Tunes include swing, bossas, blues, great American songbook, and bebop.

Diana Ristenpart – Piano

Diana has had many careers – teaching music in the schools, computer programming, and teaching piano privately. She currently plays the piano for classes at NDI, the National Dance Institute. Since 2001 she has enjoyed playing with many small jazz combos in the Albuquerque area in addition to Fool’s Play.

Joseph Salack – Bass

Joseph is an accomplished musician on piano and bass and has played in various settings and configurations. Besides jazz gigs, he plays with Afrobeat band, Shake Alert, on Sunday mornings at the Everyday Center for Spiritual Living, and plays upright bass for the monthly meeting of the Santa Fe Dances for Universal Peace. Joseph also teaches piano.
