This summer, our children and youth take a journey through the bible and look at some of the great stories and parables. This week we look at the story of Jonah and the whale. The children and youth begin in our worship service(s), and after receiving a blessing, they leave for their activities.

Children’s Sunday School

As we look at the story of Jonah and the whale with the children, we explore the themes of obedience, God’s love and forgiveness, and the importance of second chances.

Youth Bible Study

Youth, don’t forget to bring your bible as we will read and discuss the story of Jonah and whale as well as the day’s scriptures of Jeremiah 18-1-6, Isaiah 64: 1-5, 8, John 9: 1-6, 2 Corinthians 4:7-10. We will explore the difficult questions of: Who is God? Who are we? How do we deal with failure, imperfection, and brokenness in our lives? How can we learn from our mistakes, change our ways and head in a different direction.
