Listen to the soothing music of Debussy and Faure from Lisa Grodin (violin), Sally Guenther (violoncello), and David Solem (piano). Doors to the sanctuary open at 5:15pm and the concert begins at 5:30pm. The concert is free with donations accepted.
Because there is Christmas Tree lighting on the Plaza on November 28th, the green parking passes do not allow for free parking in the Santa Fe County lot behind the church. The normal fees will apply.

The Artists
Lisa Grodin (Violinist)
Lisa Grodin enjoys an active career as a violinist, violist, and educator. She performs regularly with Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, where she is also the director of education, and with Voices of Music, American Bach Soloists, and El Mundo. Her lifelong passion for dance has inspired numerous educational events in collaboration with dancer-scholars such as Catherine Turocy, Jennifer Meller, Carlos Venturo, and Claudia Bauer.
Sally Guenther (Violocellist)
Sally Guenther received her Bachelor’s degree at Indiana University where she studied with Janos Starker, and a Master’s degree at The Juilliard School of Music, studying with Harvey Shapiro. She also attended the Taos School of Music, Music Academy of the West and International Congress of Strings. After engagements with several US orchestras, including with the Cincinnati, Fort Worth and Syracuse symphonies (as principal cellist), and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, she became solo cellist of the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra in Norway, a position she held for twenty years. Guenther was also active in Norway as a pedagogue teaching at the Grieg Academy of Music, and was a founding member of the contemporary chamber ensemble, BIT 20, an internationally recognized group which records and travels extensively in Europe and Asia. Guenther moved fulltime to New Mexico in 2006 and devotes herself to chamber music, travelling widely in the Southwest area and participating in chamber music festivals in Santa Fe, Taos, Abiquiu, Los Alamos, and Breckenridge, Colorado. In addition she has played with the New Mexico Symphony, Santa Fe Pro Musica and Santa Fe Symphony orchestras. Guenther is also devoted to teaching, travelling and maintaining a private studio.
David Solem (Pianist)
Born and raised in Washington DC, David holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Peabody Conservatory of Music where his teachers included Lillian Freundlich, Leon Fleisher, Shirley Matthews, and Peggy Haas Howell. David has enjoyed a long career in music performance in academic, theatrical, orchestral, chamber music, and liturgical settings. He has over 42 years of experience as a liturgical musician, organist, and choral director. David has been a resident of Santa Fe, NM since 2010 and currently serves as assistant organist for First Presbyterian Church of Santa Fe and as principal keyboard (organ, harpsichord, piano) for Santa Fe Pro Musica where he is also principal keyboard for the Pro Musica Baroque Ensemble. He has held all of these positions since 2014. An active performer in the northern NM area, David has appeared with the Santa Fe Symphony, the Santa Fe Desert Chorale, and the Santa Fe Women’s Ensemble. He is in frequent demand as a recitalist, accompanist, and chamber musician. David combines his music life with his clinical private practice as a diplomate Jungian psychoanalyst.
