Jason Kadinger first started performing at the age of 12 as a bass player in a punk band that he formed with his brother called “Rambunctious Function.” In his high school years he played drums for a local blues band, “Mojo Lemon.” He went on to do professional sound engineering for a wide array of Twin Cities based bands and community festivals including “The Minnesota State Fair” and “The Stillwater Jazz and Art Festival.” He also provided live audio production for several national tours with political groups that shall remain nameless. Among steady employment as an audio engineer, he played drums, guitar and bass guitar at area churches. Live audio production naturally transitioned to work as a studio engineer, recording music for other musicians as well as his own projects. As a multi-instrumentalist and song writer, he formed the duet “Meri Dean” with his wife, Melissa in 2015.

Melissa Kadinger began performing as a soloist in church at the age of 6. She sang in school and church choirs throughout her school years. She began piano lessons at the age of 7. As an adult, in spite of working full-time to overtime as a graphic designer; she still found time to sing, play piano and bass guitar at area churches, funerals, weddings and community choirs. She also performed as an occasional “sit in” with a handful of Twin Cities based bands She had a renaissance of writing music, and began learning new instruments including accordion and banjo after relocating from Western Wisconsin to New Mexico in 2015. As a multi-instrumentalist and song writer, she formed the duet “Meri Dean” with her husband, Jason in 2015.
