Retirement Planning Beyond Investments

PBM Breakfast, Sep 13, 8:30am

At our Prepared by Men’s Breakfast this Saturday, we welcome Silas Peterson, a Financial Advisor, Chief Compliance Officer, and Co-Owner of Financial Partners LLC in Santa Fe, where he helps people deal with financial complexity confidently.  Come to breakfast in Pope Hall at 8:30 and preview continuing education classes on practical strategies to help protect your lifestyle, preserve your assets, and avoid costly mistakes.

Silas and his colleague, Peter Murphy, CFP®, are well-known educators who teach a series of continuing education courses, covering retirement income, Social Security, Medicare, tax planning, long-term care, estate strategies, and comprehensive financial planning.

Silas holds a Series 65 securities license and is a New Mexico Independent Insurance Agent. Before joining Financial Partners, he built and led The Hire Firm for 18 years. He is a Paul Harris Fellow, active in community leadership, and will shortly be confirmed as a CFP® professional. Silas blends technical expertise with a teacher’s clarity and a genuine passion for helping people live well in retirement.

Retirement today is more complex than ever. Living longer, rising healthcare costs, changing tax laws, and disappearing pensions mean seniors face new challenges. In this engaging talk, Silas Peterson of Financial Partners will outline six key areas retirees must not ignore:  Retirement income, tax planning, long-term care strategies, estate planning, Social Security, and Medicare. Silas and his colleague, Peter Murphy, regularly teach courses on these very topics and will offer 5 continuing education classes at Santa Fe Community College in the fall. This presentation provides a preview—practical strategies to help protect your lifestyle, preserve your assets, and avoid costly mistakes.

All are welcome. The breakfast crew will be led by former chef Mark Bixby. We do ask a suggested $2 or more donation to cover the cost of food and beverages.
