Santa Fe Octet

TGIF, May 3, 5:30pm

This Friday, the Santa Fe Octet performs music by Schubert. The Octet includes Ari Le, Violin; Flaviano Prosperini, Violin; Nathan Gibson, Viola; Nelson Denman, Cello; Jim Martinez, Bass; Daniel Schwab, Clarinet; John Hargreaves, Horn; and Debra Poulin, Basson. Doors to the sanctuary open at 5:15pm and the concert begins at 5:30pm. The concert is free with donations accepted.

The Artists

Ari Le began playing the violin and viola while growing up in New York and continued to play in orchestras and chamber ensembles in Providence, Paris, Boston, and San Diego. Ari performs with eSSO and the Santa Fe Community Orchestra. He works as a plasma physicist at Los Alamos National Lab.

 

Flaviano Prosperini, originally from Rome, Italy, has been playing the violin since he was six years old, having pursued studies both privately and at the music conservatory. Arriving in Santa Fe, he currently performs with eSSO Santa Fe, the Los Alamos Symphony Orchestra, the Santa Fe Community Orchestra, and various other string ensembles. Alongside his musical pursuits, he also holds a position as a software engineer at the Los Alamos National Laboratory.

 

Daniel Schwab is a regular performer in the TGIF concert series. He is principal clarinetist of the Santa Fe Community Orchestra and studied with Hans Deinzer, Sabine Meyer and Charles Neidich. He is also a personal coach, ecopsychologist and urban planner.
