PBM Breakfast, Feb 8, 9am
At our Saturday Prepared by Men Breakfast, we welcome Anji Estrellas MA, the Executive Director of Casa Milagro. Anji helps provide a sustainable, safe, and therapeutic home that nurtures the well-being and thriving of formerly homeless residents. Hear about the many miracles of Casa Milagro, Feb 8, at 9am in Pope Hall.
Anji is originally from Roswell and loves to visit her tias in the same house she was brought home to from the hospital. She has bicultural background roots from a Mexican American mother and an Anglo midwestern father. She moved to Santa Fe in 1994 after graduating from ASU with a Bachelor of Social Work and while working on her Master of Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on wilderness/experiential therapy. Her behavioral health career spans three and a half decades. Anji has worked from student intern to an Executive Director and many roles in between. In her career she has focused on work with trauma survivors and understands the intersection between mental health, addiction and the right to safe housing.
The breakfast crew will be led by Mark Bixby who has, with help of the team, consistently provided us with healthy nutritious breakfasts. We do ask a suggested $2 or more donation to cover the cost of food and beverages. Text Jim at 505-557-8110 or email jimelliott5247@gmail.com with your email address to be put on the monthly Evite reminders to which you can do a formal RSVP if not already on the list. Also text Jim if you might want to participate as back-up/assistant chef, bottle washer, or buss-boy for Prepared by Men’s Breakfast, or if you have a program suggestion.
