Volunteers Needed for Family Ministry

Help Us Love Like Jesus

It takes a community to nurture the faith of our children—and we need you!

Our Family Ministry program is growing, and we are looking for volunteers who are willing to share their time, gifts, and hearts with children and families in our congregation.

You don’t have to be a teacher or have years of experience working with children. You simply need a willingness to show up, connect, encourage, and help create a welcoming place where children can learn about God’s love.

There Are Many Ways to Get Involved

Children’s Sunday School

Help children explore their faith through Bible stories, activities, conversation, and hands-on learning. Volunteers can teach, assist a teacher, prepare activities, or simply be a caring presence for our youngest members.

Parents’ Night Out

Give parents an opportunity to enjoy an evening together while their children have a safe, fun, and faith-filled experience at church. Volunteers can help with games, crafts, meals, activities, and supervision.

School Holiday Programs

Throughout the school year, we have opportunities to engage children and families during school breaks and holidays. Volunteers can help plan and lead activities, prepare meals, organize crafts and games, or simply lend a helping hand.

Vacation Bible School

Yes, we are planning for next summer already! VBS is one of our most exciting opportunities to welcome children into our church community. Volunteers are needed for teaching, music, crafts, recreation, snacks, registration, setup, and more. There is a place for every gift!

Small Moments Can Make a Big Difference

For a child, a volunteer may be the person who remembers their name, listens to their story, celebrates their accomplishment, answers a question, or reminds them that they belong.

These moments may seem small to us, but they can make a lasting impression on a child’s life and faith. When we volunteer with our children and families, we aren’t simply filling a schedule—we are building relationships, strengthening our community, and putting our faith into action.

If you have an hour, a morning, an evening, or simply a heart for children and families, we would love to have you join us. Please email Jen Black if you feel called to help, have questions or have suggestions.
