Will We Go After Him

Worship, Mar 29, 9:45am

VIDEO. On Palm Sunday, Pastor Andrew illuminates this famous biblical text of Jesus entry into Jerusalem (John 12:12-19) by calling us to reflect on the remarkable love and relationship God desires of us. Through humor and having the mind of a child, Reverend Black challenges us to see what is hidden in plain sight and core to the Christian faith. This week’s sermon will be transformative for adults and children alike.

True Allegiance

Worship, Mar 22, 8:30 & 11am

VIDEO. As we dig into a tense exchange between Jesus and some of Jerusalem’s elite leaders around the question of paying taxes, we’ll ask ourselves what it might mean to “give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and to God the things that are God’s,” where our true or ultimate allegiance lies, and how we navigate making hard choices as we seek to live faithfully within the realities of a complex and messy world.

On Good Shepherds and THE Good Shepherd

Worship, Mar 15, 8:30 & 11am

VIDEO. This Sunday, as we commission FPC Santa Fe’s Pastor Nominating Committee, we’ll consider the characteristics of good shepherds versus bad shepherds as well as our own responsibility as “sheep” to listen for, discern, and follow the voice of THE Good Shepherd. The scriptures for the day are Ezekiel 34:1-10 and John 10:1-18. Join Pastor Ashley at 8:30 in Pope Hall and at 11:00 in the sanctuary or via livestream.

A Transformative Disruption

Upside-down Blessings for an Upside-down Kin(g)dom

Remaining Rooted in the Wilderness

Worship, Feb 22, 10am

VIDEO. Moving through the season of Lent can be its own wilderness journey, but this Lenten season is not the only “wilderness time” we are facing. As we begin the Lenten season, as well as our time with Pastor Ashley as our Transitional Pastor, she explores with us what Jesus’ responses to his temptations in the wilderness may have to say to us about remaining rooted in the wilderness that is this transitional season of this congregation’s—as well as our wider country’s—life.

A Time to Be Attentive

Worship, Feb 15, 8:30& 11am

VIDEO. We are swamped by radical changes in the world around us and are faced with transitions in the life of our congregation. This Sunday, the Rev. Jim Brown calls to our attention to the Second Letter of Peter which advises that “you will do well to be attentive to the prophetic message of God’s own glory and goodness.”

Standing in the Spirit: From Vision to Vocation

For Such a Time As This

Worship, Feb 1, 10am

VIDEO. We live in interesting times, times of empire, where power is centralized, fear is weaponized, and entire communities live at the mercy of decisions made far away from them. Times when a cold darkness settles over the land and God can seem hidden. Pastor Andrew asks us, What does it mean to be faithful in such times?

Our Wide, Messy Circle

Worship, Jan 25, 10am

VIDEO. Everybody has their perceptions of which camp is best, which version of the truth is the most compelling. We quickly define ourselves by what we are for and against; we divide and judge. But we follow a Savior who calls us to strive for unity and harmony. The Rev. Elizabeth Graham looks at Paul urging the Corinthians to deal with their divisions.

What the World Needs Now

Worship, Jan 18, 8:30 & 11am
