Worship, Oct 5, 10am
Pastor Andrew invites you to bring your “iguanas, pet fish, dogs, and cats” to worship on Sunday, as he and the Rev. Canon Raney bless the animals in the tradition of St. Francis of Assisi. If it would be impractical to bring them but you would like the blessing, bring photos of your pets. Animals have meant so much to so many of us. We rejoice in this time to show them our love.
In recent years, we have blessed the animals each year on the Sunday nearest St. Francis Day, which was October 4th this year. It commemorates the life of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment, and the day serves as a reminder of his love for God’s creation.
