Blessing of the Animals

Pastor Andrew invites you to bring your “iguanas, pet fish, dogs, and cats” to worship on Sunday, as he and the Rev. Canon Raney bless the animals in the tradition of St. Francis of Assisi. If it would be impractical to bring them but you would like the blessing, bring photos of your pets. Animals have meant so much to so many of us. We rejoice in this time to show them our love.

Our children bring their beloved pets or photos of their pets for the Blessing of the Animals in the worship service. Then later after they receive a blessing of their own, they leave the worship service to continue to show their love by creating Fall centerpieces for our homebound members.
