My Peace I Give To You

This week we read John 14: 23-29. In this story Jesus says that he gives his peace to the disciples. We remember Jesus’s words during each service when we pass the peace and we shake hands or give hugs and say, “Peace be with you.” After receiving a blessing in the worhsip services, the children and youth leave for their activities. This week, we will take a look at John 21:1-19. This lesson provides a hopeful reminder that Jesus promises second chances when we make mistakes. God can use our mistakes and promises to grant us grace when we aren't at our very best. We recognize that we will never be perfect all the time, but the story of Peter reminds us that we don’t have to.Read more
